Sickies

Snot everywhere.

How’s that for an opening line for a blog post? Well, that’s kind of what’s taken over my world this week. December was a busy and mostly fun month. But, it caught up with me by the end of the weekend. And Monday, I was sick as a dog. Tuesday, I woke up at 6AM and was back in bed from 7:30 through 12:30. I’m feeling better today, but still not 100%.

Our New Years Eve plans were solidified over the weekend. We decided to get together with our neighbors and possibly some mutual friends. No travel. No going outside if we don’t want to. Just crab legs and chowder and other yummy delicacies. Prosecco and champagne. Games. Dogs. Good times, for sure.

Here’s hoping your New Year’s Eve and the upcoming year are everything you want them to be.

Sorry to hear you are sick before the new year. I hear drinking more can sometimes clear out the gombu… lol

  13. Nora Says:

Ugh, getting sick around the holidays is the worst! I hope you continue to feel better. I find that cheesy movies and cuddles with the dog (or man, since you have one) help me heal. Not to mention a good ole’ cup of tea.

I’m not planning to go very far for my New Years either. Most likely just to my neighbors for wine and movies.

Hugs & get well wishes for you!

  14. Cheryl Says:

Hope you’re feeling better and your new years plans sound a lot like mine. I have no plans on leaving my house (its just too darn cold). If a few friends show up great, but if not I am ok with that too.

    Happy New Year, Nilsa!

  19. Becky @TheRealBecks Says:

Gah gah gah!! Feel better, miss that sounds awful!

I’m having sick friends over for new years tonight (I don’t know why they’re still going out!!), and will be drinking OJ before and after. And probably sanitizing whatever they touch.

    Cause I’m a great hostess.

  22. LiLu Says:

I’m with you. Friend’s house, lots of prosecco, only good people… no fighting for drinks at an overcrowded bar. ;-)

    Happy 2010!

  23. Sparkling Red Says:

I hope you’re feeling better! The holidays are hard on one’s immune system: rich food, odd wake and sleep times, lots of exposure to people, travel… At least you got to enjoy your Christmas before the bug got you. Happy New Year!
