Scene: Dinner at our favorite local bar. Sweets. Me. Mamas. Baby Z. Fried cheese curds. Burgers. Beer. Baby Z and I played straw tug-o-war. With our teeth.
Scene: 6AM wake-up. Without an alarm. Long walk with SoMi. Trek to the gym with Sweets and our neighbors. Birthday brunch for our neighbor at another neighborhood favorite. It was my first time there. Bread pudding. Spicy bean cakes. Fruity pancakes and French toast. Coffee and OJ.
Scene: Two bloggers-turned-friends and me. Izzes. Guacamole. Salsa. Chips. Tomatoes. Carrots. Hummus. Recaps of BlogHer (theirs). Recaps of registries (mine). Heirloom tomatoes. Goat cheese. Fresh peach vinaigrette. Homemade pizzas. Sliced potatoes. Goat cheese. Mozzarella. Leeks. Bacon. Rosemary. Discussions of sperm banks. And $55 million court settlements. (Unrelated to one another.) Ice cream. Homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Homemade caramel. Full. Happy.
Scene: Buy Buy Baby. Strollers. City Select versus UPPABaby Vista. Car seats. Chicco versus Graco. Play-yards. Graco versus Graco on steroids. Pillow crib bumper with risks of SIDS versus mesh crib bumper with risk of bruised heads. Registry officially started. Nursery furniture officially purchased. Still so much more to do.
Scene: Lunch with Sweets’ parents. Trip to park with the dogs. SoMi dashing in and out of water. Stories of Maine and Cape Cod (ours). Recaps with photos of volunteering in Roatan (theirs). Conversations of childbirth in America.
Scene: Nilsa passing out on Sunday night. It was one helluva a long and busy weekend. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Yum! You had a friend and family filled weekend! I have still not made it into M Henry since we tried a few years back. We did have breakfast at Over Easy though, I love that place.

We don’t have Buy Buy Baby in Denver (at least not yet… boo), so we ventured to Babies R Us this weekend to try to make a lot of those decisions. And we made them! We haven’t bought anything yet but our registry is almost done and we feel very pleased about that.

You did have a full weekend!! Sounds fabulous, though. Especially the food part! Glad you got going on the registry! Wish we would get a Buy Buy Baby here. My friend is AZ that is pregnant is also registering there & said it’s a great store. Maybe some day they will enter the Minneapolis Market!

Sounds like a great weekend! Mine consisted of unpacking, unpacking and taking out boxes… exhausting but very fulfilling to see the end result.
